From Mrs Darby
Dear Families,
This week on the 31st of October, it is World Teachers’ Day. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank our wonderful Lumen Christi Teachers for all that they do to support the learning and development of our children.
I would also like to acknowledge our parents, grandparents, step-parents and all other family members who serve as first teachers to our children. As we all know, raising children is probably the hardest job in the world. We are very lucky at Lumen Christi to have such a supportive parent community, and we thank you for trusting us with the education of your children.
Please remember that we have a long weekend ahead of us, which serves as a nice mid-term break before the craziness of Term 4 really takes off.
We are looking forward to spending Thursday morning with our grandparents and welcoming them into our classrooms and sharing morning tea with them also.
Prayer for World Teachers’ Day
Loving God,
Today we thank You for the gift of teachers —
for their patience, kindness, and the way they help us learn and grow.
Bless all our teachers who guide us each day with care and wisdom.
We also thank You for our parents and families,
our very first teachers,
who show us how to love, share, and live with faith.
May we always appreciate those who help us discover the joy of learning
and the wonder of Your world.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Have a wonderful week ahead,
Sally
