Dear Families,
Welcome back to Term 4! I hope all of our children enjoyed the break – I know it’s not always a break for the parents, especially those trying to juggle work commitments and children. For those families who were able to get away and have a holiday together, I hope it was wonderful. I was lucky enough to have some time away with my family and I know in the discussions I have had with other staff since returning to school, we all appreciated the opportunity to rest and slow down before the busyness of this final term in 2025.
Please take the time to look at the calendar dates coming up this term. It can be a
very busy term in the lead up to Christmas. I will take the time to remind families of
our school closure dates:
Friday 31 st October – Pupil Free Day
Monday 3 rd November – School Closure Day
Last Day Term 4 – Wednesday 17 th December
Swimming will be happening in Week 3 (20 – 24 October) – this can be a BIG week
for our students, especially the littler students in our school. They may need earlier
bed times and a bit more food in their lunch boxes that week. Parents are very
welcome to be at the pool to watch, but unfortunately not to help in the changerooms due to Child Safety regulations.
Remember that hats are compulsory in Term 4 and summer uniform options
(summer dress and green skort). We usually allow 1-2 weeks for this changeover to
occur. If you child has a lost or damaged hat, hats are available to purchase in our
uniform shop. A friendly reminder to families that ripped hats or hats with graffiti are
not acceptable at school, so these families will be required to provide a new hat.
Our Beginning of Term Mass on Thursday has been cancelled due to Father James’
availability. We will look to celebrate Mass together at another time.
Prayer for the Beginning of Term Four
Loving God,
As we begin this final term of the year,
we thank You for all the blessings You have given us —
for the learning, the laughter, and the friendships we’ve shared so far.
Be with us in the weeks ahead.
Help us to stay focused, kind, and positive
as we finish our school year together.
Guide our teachers and staff with wisdom and patience,
and fill our classrooms with Your peace and joy.
May we use our gifts to serve others,
show care to those in need,
and celebrate the growth we’ve made throughout the year.
We ask this through Jesus Christ,
our teacher and friend.
Amen.
Have a wonderful week ahead,
Sally
